We have preserved, gutted and used the existing structures to create workspaces for (creative) tourists. The room structure offers 10 workspaces. The goal is, on the one hand, to reach actors in the cultural and creative industries who want to take a break from the big city for very short periods and concentrate on working on a project. On the other hand, to offer tourists the opportunity to combine their holidays with creative leisure activities.
The container house provides the perfect structure for creating simple yet inspiring, near-natural office workstations. At ground level and accessible from the outside, it is possible to move the workplace outdoors when the weather is nice. Young startups and creative industry players thus experience a productive environment for concentrated work. In addition, it is easy to get in touch with like-minded people and to exchange ideas.
Tourism meets creative industries. The building should be kept as large as possible and open and equipped with a tea kitchen. The aim is to let the tourists and families from the campsite and the garage hostel meet the users of the studio house and the commercial rental areas in this house. Joint cooking and evening program, getting to know each other and the exchange of creative ideas should be achieved.
From 17 GDR garages small, simple hostel apartments arise. The look of the previous garage use has been preserved. The old wooden gates are preserved and structurally only minimal changes took place in the restoration. These minimalist apartments, which, although of rustic standard, offer modern design and serve as a retreat for the sleeping guests.
On the areas between, next to and around atelier building, a reception and rental office spaces, many places of rest and retreat are planned to be created. In several small groups of trees, a “hammock forest” is planned. The many trees provide peace and provide shade on the meadows, which invite you to relax.
